Peter Smirniotopoulos is a nationally recognized author, speaker, commentator and opinion writer. He is a Huffington Post blogger on politics, public policy, and the economy (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/peter-smirniotopoulos), as well as a Contributing Editor for The New Geography, a web site devoted to analyzing and discussing the places where we live and work (http://www.newgeography.com/users/peter-smirniotopoulos). Since 1985, Peter has been a featured speaker at national industry conferences, and he has authored over 50 articles in national print journals and on the web, covering a broad range of topics from urban planning and revitalization, to residential and mixed-use development and finance, to federal tax and housing policies. Peter holds undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University and is currently a Capstone adviser in Georgetown University’s Master of Real Estate Program. He is a former Faculty Member in the Edward St. John Master of Science in Real Estate program at the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
